Sophie Gwartney
I am a music therapy student at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville Texas. I am constantly developing new ideas for music therapy sessions throughout my studies and practicum experiences and I wanted a way to both share and organize those ideas and this blog ended up being my outlet for that. I plan to finish up my bachelors in music therapy soon with starting my internship in the fall of 2019 and the final goal is to work with children in a special education school setting. Although the population I am passionate about working with is children, you will find intervention ideas for many different populations because of the diversity of my practicum experiences, as well as lots of ideas that can be adapted to fit any population! I hope my ideas can help other studying and practicing therapists to help their clients in creative and effective ways as we continue to show the world what music therapy is!
